It does say that there's been an update on your quest in the center of your screen, but that can sometimes be easy to miss if you're actively in combat or running from things. But the alternative is an obtrusive active quest tracker on the right side of your screen, which is just as obnoxious.

I also like that there's not a huge arrow and map GPS telling you where to go. I've missed that.
