Then when I entered the museum as I was buying my ticket I was curious about how much money the MET museum makes every day.

Then, when I was walking up the stairs I noticed a lot of different objects and as I was going to the Making Marvels exhibition I walked across paintings and statues. Then when I entered the Making Marvels exhibition my curiosity grew more. I was looking at things I was like why would anyone save things like mirrors and cups and diamonds, etc.

Especially the Dresden Green Diamond. Then I was curious about what would happen if someone breaks the glass and takes the diamond. Will they be put behind bars?

Or they will be fined? When will all this be over? Are we going to die? Is it going to be the end of the world? This lockdown has been there for a while. Be in school. Go see our family and friends.

In this situation, we have to think times before we do something. In this lockdown whenever I sit at my dining table I see a huge tree in my backyard. So I wonder who planted that tree? For how long that tree has been there? What will happen if someone cuts down that tree?

Will anyone ever cut it down? Sometimes I see birds on the tree so I wonder what kind of birds live there? I just get silly thoughts. Mammal animals get sunburns. Two days ago, I was sitting in my living room. And it was raining. So like when it rains my family members come from outside and they have dirt in their shoes and make the whole house dirty.

It is disgusting. But when I captured the picture I was sad because I was missing my parents and I had tears in my eyes and then I was like, the way I am crying the sky is also crying. I discovered rain is actually not that bad. It is actually nice to watch. Let me tell you a short story.

When I was in Bangladesh I used to play in the rain. But that rain was different. It was raining heavily and it was always very windy.

Electricity would always be gone. Trees would break and fall out. And it was scary to see it. In my lockdown, as I was listening and researching about this period, it has taught me a lot about the U. I really appreciate the effort of doctors putting into the patients who are infected by COVID While everyone is home and not working.

Doctors and nurses are in hospitals treating and taking care of patients. They could go home just like others but now they are in the hospital doing their job. They are doing the job they wanted to do for their whole life. What I mean by this is that some doctors become a doctor just to help others when the whole world turns against them and in this pandemic, they are doing that.

People are scared of a person who has COVID but doctors and nurses are not. They are brave. I hope in future I can help all those doctors and nurses who risked their lives to save my mother, my relatives, my community, and the country.

Other day I was researching when this pandemic will be over and there was really no answer because day by day more people are getting sick and more people are dying. A vaccine will take time to come and if the vaccine comes out and our body does not have the antibiotics we are not safe.

When I am on-campus learning in person I can learn better also I get to interact with different professors and students.

For example, I know you Jane are a very sweet and understanding person because I saw you face to face. I spoke to you in person and I know how you sound. I know what you expect from your students. I know that you have a daughter. I also know that you like to walk. Also, you know me as a person because you saw me, you spoke to me.

Robert Elliot Marshak was an American physicist dedicated to learning, research, and education. He was a former president of CCNY. This is the last diary entry I will be writing about this pandemic. This pandemic is known as the coronavirus or COVID When we started the year , none of us have imagined what the year will bring for us.

Today is the 5th month of the year and at least the last 3 months were crazy for us. For some of us, it was the worst few months of our life. In this way, the diary entry is the lowest denominator of currency within the realms of diary writing. If you already keep a sleep diary , you know what this means.

Movies have taught us to expect each entry to begin with a 'dear diary', though there are plenty of other methodologies for the keeping of a personal diary. There have been many famous diaries - either in the form of journal entries or diary entries there is much contention over the distinction between a journal entry and a diary entry.

The best part about this format for capturing thoughts and feelings is precisely that there are no hard and fast rules. You don't even have to write every day, though it is recommended that you adopt something of a routine - even if they happen to be short entries, it's still something to go by if you are looking to reference yourself in the future.

So, why not get started? Write a diary entry about your day today and see how it makes you feel and whether or not you can see yourself doing it much more in the future. Now that we have something of an idea of what a diary is and what the entries in it pertain to, let's explore why you might want to keep one in the first place.

If, like most people nowadays, your memory struggles to keep up with the sheer rush of information coming at it from all angles, then you will likely find a diary invaluable as a tool for keeping track of things.

Sure, diaries have been used for centuries, but it feels like they have, peculiarly, become even more useful in a time where the sheer wealth of information available is overwhelming. More than a way to capture the plot points of life, a diary becomes a way to capture how we actually felt about things instead of just letting those feelings get swamped by dissociation.

You might also entertain fantasies of becoming famous, in which case a diary will be an invaluable tool for the writing of your autobiography. How else are you going to keep proper track of who or who not to slander against? As already alluded to above, diaries are a great format for exploring you and your true self.

The inward flux of information and sensory impressions in the world today can be so much that sometimes we lose ourselves even if only for a minute. These minutes, though short at first, quickly build up and start to spiral out of control. Get a handle on yourself and capture it in the written word, putting a pin in yourself to stop you from running away from yourself.

In a lot of ways, it is reckoning with the self in this way that is going to allow you to better achieve your goals in life. With a better knowledge of yourself, you can go about fully facing the things in life that you actually care about without worrying about doing yourself a disservice.

Everyone who's anyone needs a forum within which they can vent about the issues they might be facing. Shortly before being forced into hiding, Anne received a diary for her thirteenth birthday. She wrote about events in the cramped hiding spot as well as her feelings and thoughts during the following two years.

May 2nd When I think about our lives here, I usually come to the conclusion that we live in a paradise compared to the Jews who aren't in hiding. All the same, later on, when everything has returned to normal, I'll probably wonder how we, who always lived in such comfortable circumstances, could have 'sunk' so low.

With respect to manners, I mean. For example, the same oilcloth has covered the dining table ever since we've been here. After so much use, it's hardly what you'd call spotless. I do my best to clean it, but since the dishcloth was also purchased before we went into hiding and consists of more holes than cloth, it's a thankless task.

The van Daans have been sleeping all winter long on the same flannel sheet, which can't be washed because detergent is rationed and in short supply. Besides, it's of such poor quality that it's practically useless.

Father is walking around in frayed trousers, and his tie is also showing signs of wear and tear. Mama's corset snapped today and is beyond repair, while Margot is wearing a bra that's two sizes too small, Mother and Margot have shared the same three undershorts the entire winter, and mine are so small they don't even cover my stomach.

These are all things that can be overcome, but I sometimes wonder: how can we, whose every possession, from my underpants to Father's shaving brush, is so old and worn, ever hope to regain the position we had before the war?

July 19th Dearest Kitty, North Amsterdam was very heavily bombed on Sunday. There was apparently a great deal of destruction. Entire streets are in ruins, and it will take a while for them to dig out all the bodies.

So far there have been two hundred dead and countless wounded; the hospitals are bursting at the seams. We've been told of children searching forlornly in the smoldering ruins for their dead parents. It still makes me shiver to think of the dull, distant drone that signified the approaching destruction.

March16th excerpt Dearest Kitty, The weather is gorgeous, indescribably beautiful; I'll be going up to the attic in a moment. I now know why I'm so much more restless than Peter. He has his own room, where he can work, dream, think and sleep. I'm constantly being chased from one corner to another.

I'm never alone in the room I share with Dussel, though I long to be so much. That's another reason I take refuge in the attic. When I'm there, or with you, I can be myself, at least for a little while. Still, I don't want to moan and groan. On the contrary, I want to be brave!

Sample Travel Diary. Part 1. Write about the events of your day. Think about everything that happened that day and record any highlights or feelings that stand out to you. Even if you had a pretty standard day, you might be surprised by deeper thoughts and feelings that come up as you write down details about your day.

Feel free to veer off into any topic you want as you're writing about the day's events. For example, you could write about the English exam you took at school that day. Are you feeling good about the exam? Do you wish you had studied more? Are you nervous to receive your grade?

Contemplate your goals for the future and how to achieve them. Make a list of your short-term and long-term goals. Then, go through each item on the list and write in detail about your plan to accomplish the goal. Breaking each goal up into smaller tasks that you can work on can make your goals feel less overwhelming.

Long-term goals would be stuff like choosing and applying to colleges or saving up money to buy a car. Jot down your current feelings or mood. Don't worry about providing any context for your emotions, just focus on accurately describing what they are. You can then use those feelings and thoughts as prompts for creating detailed diary entries.

Work on one thought or emotion at a time and explore it as fully as you can. For example, if you're feeling sad, you can write a diary entry about why you feel that way and any events that may have contributed.

You can add a line from the lyrics of a song you are often listening to in your entry to preserve the current mood. Write down inspirational quotes and what they mean to you.

Inspirational quotes can come from anywhere—a famous person, your favorite book or movie, or even a friend or a family member. Any quote you find inspiring is a great starting point.

Record the quote in your diary and note where it came from. Then, explain what it means to you in your own words. Write a diary entry about what this means to you and what things you need to get started on to achieve certain goals.

Explore your favorite subjects or hobbies in-depth. Make a list of topics that you love or your favorite hobbies. You might love movies, sports, food, travel, art, or fashion. The subjects can be anything you want, as long as they interest and inspire you. Then, choose one item from the list and create a diary entry about it.

If you love painting, you could write about your favorite painters, the painting styles that speak to you the most, recent paintings you've made, and ideas for future paintings. Part 2.

Write the date in the corner or on the first line. You may not write in your diary every day, so dating your entries can help you keep track of when things happened. Since you'll be writing in your diary over a long period of time, dates will also help you stay organized and provide context when you look back on your entries in samppes future.

Begin each entry with a topic in mind. Most people reach for their diary when they have something they want to get down on paper or think about. This could be anything—something that happened that day, a dream you had, future plans, an event, an idea, or strong emotion or mood you're feeling.

But having something in mind when you start the entry can help kickstart the writing process. Open with "Dear Diary" if you want to. This is a completely personal choice, so go with what works best and feels right for you. At first, addressing the "Diary" can feel almost like reaching out to a friend rather than simply writing or talking to yourself.

You may find this helpful if you're new to journaling. Write in the first person by using "I" statements. Diaries are very personal items, and they typically work best when you speak in the first person.

In your diary, you are free to make everything about you! Many people find this aspect extremely cathartic, especially when it comes to exploring personal thoughts, emotions, and reactions.

I've practiced a lot and I feel ready, but I'm so nervous I can hardly eat.

I've practiced a lot and I feel ready, but I'm so nervous I can hardly eat. Be honest in your entries. Many people find diary writing cathartic because they can let go of inhibitions on the page and truly be themselves.

This is for your eyes only. For example, you might write, "I feel jealous of Shaun's new car. I'm happy for him, but it seems really unfair that his parents bought him a brand new car. I'm working every day after school just to save up for a used car.

Physical diaries with locks and password-protected digital diaries are two of the most popular ways to control privacy. Many people have epiphanies about themselves and their relationships through honest diary writing.

Be open to learning about yourself as you write. Don't worry too much about grammar and spelling. Your diary is a safe space for you to vent and share without the pressures of external judgment. Write freely and without inhibition. Being grammatically correct, proper spelling, and writing perfect phrases are not nearly as important as getting your thoughts and feelings down on the page.

Jot down the first things that come to mind when considering your day, current mood, and any feelings you're struggling with.

Use lots of details to preserve moments in time. Diaries help you preserve thoughts and feelings as they're happening. You're also able to record events immediately after they happen when details are still fresh in your mind. Since memories can become unreliable, especially as time passes, recording precise details vividly can help you preserve moments in time exactly as they occurred.

If you find it easier to express your emotions in short bursts or even bullet points, feel free to do that. Part 3. Choose a specific time each day to write in your diary.

Many people struggle to find the time to write in their diary. Others simply forget to write. It helps to choose a specific time each day for diary writing so that you can develop the habit. Eventually, it will become second nature, but it can help to set a daily reminder on your phone until then!

Coronavirus has affected some of us really negatively. It affected every single person in this world but it affected some more than others.

Some people got the virus and others loved one was affected by the virus. This pandemic was awful. It has affected me academically, socially, and emotionally. It affected me academically because of this virus I had to stop going to school in person and get used to the online learning system.

Online learning was very hard because it is hard for me to concentrate on and understand things when things are not physically being done. It affected me socially because I was required to do social distance from people.

If I wanted to see someone and talk to them I had to stay away 6 feet. This pandemic has stopped me from talking to so many people. It had made me talk less. This pandemic affected me emotionally because first my dad passed away but he had a natural death.

But it was a very tough time for me because it was a very sudden thing and it was shocking. Then a few days later my mom was affected by this virus and she was in the hospital for exactly a month. She was always home.

But the good news is after being in the hospital for a month she is finally recovered. My mom was in a very bad situation. It will take some more time for her to go back to her old self.

Before this pandemic started I was always eating healthy. But since I started being in lockdown I have been eating a lot. I have been eating the food I have avoided for years.

I had so much junk food, I put in a lot of weight. I also had to have at least 2 cups of coffee every day. I stopped watching the news because it made me feel sad.

Every day I prayed for this pandemic to be over and for people who have been infected or passed away. Our world is so much cleaner now. People are so clean they are always washing their hands, wearing masks and gloves. This is something they should have always done well not putting on gloves and masks but keeping themselves clean.

Before we went to lockdown places like supermarkets, wholesale corporations, department stores, and a lot of money. People made sure they had everything in stock.

Toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizers, gloves, masks, disinfectant wipes, and sprays were high demand in the market system. You were considered lucky if you found disinfectant wipes, spray, and hand sanitizers. But the state government gave our free masks to the public to make sure they are safe.

The state and the federal government have helped people a lot in this pandemic; they provided food, money for the public. This pandemic has really shown the importance of scientists, doctors, nurses, and researchers.

Scientists and researchers have been working day and night to find a treatment for this virus. This virus is something new in our medical world no one was ready for this kind of virus. Scientists and researchers are doing everything they could do to find a treatment. Doctors and nurses have been appreciated so much by the people of the world.

Around the world, at certain times of the day, people applauded for doctors and nurses. While the majority of the workplaces are closed because federal restrictions of lockdown doctors and nurses have been risking their lives and taking care of thousands of patients every day without thinking about themselves.

As a future doctor, I learned that when you become a doctor your patients are your first priority and you become selfless. I hope one day when these doctors are retired I can treat them and pay for the favor they did in all of us by risking their lives and treating our loved ones.

As I end my letter I want YOU to take a moment and appreciate what you have and your loved ones. I also want you to be ready for challenges in life. You never know anything can happen in this world anytime.

Always remember you are a strong person and you will get through this. To wrap up I want to thank you for reading my diary. I enjoyed writing this. I want you to read this and pass it on to the next generation.
